Bloukrans Bridge, South Africa
Bloukrans Bridge is an incredible piece of engineering and being able to bungee off of it is a real treat. The bridge measures 451 meters long and 216 meters high. It bridges the border between South Africa’s Western and Eastern Capes and is located roughly 30 kilometers away from the popular coastal town of Plettenberg Bay.
At the center of the bridge lies a path carved out for pedestrians, where jumpers will go to be harnessed up and await their safety briefing. Visitors will also get to enjoy breathtaking views of the river beneath the bridge, as well as of the Indian Ocean and luscious surrounding vegetation.
Europa Bridge, Austria
Also known as the Bridge of Europe, this bungee spot opened in 1964 and spans Austria’s Wipp Valley, located about 15 minutes drive away from winter sports resort city Innsbruck. Despite the bridge being almost six decades old, it wasn’t until 1993 when Rupert Hirner decided to do the bridge’s first-ever bungee. The bridge measures in at 192 meters tall and boasts unbridled views of the River Sill and of the Tyrolean Alps.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, China
This is the highest commercial bungee jump in the world, and it is set against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Located in China’s Hunan Province, this bridge was officially opened in 2016 and spans a canyon 300 meters deep.
Like players from all over the world enjoy playing at bingo sites in Australia, tourists have been known to flock from all over the world to visit this site, and it’s no surprise considering its unrivaled beauty coupled with its status as a UNESCO World Heritage area.
Macau Tower, China
Another entry from China on this list is Macau Tower. As the world’s second-highest bungee jump, Macau Tower has attracted thousands of thrill seekers from around the world. Located on the South China Sea, the Macau Tower jump is popular at night too, as jumpers can take in the glamorous sights and sounds of the surrounding casinos as they dive into their freefall.
This bungee jump can see you reach speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour during the five seconds of free fall you enjoy just before the bungee cord rebounds 30 meters above the tower’s specially designed airbag. Once your jump is completed, you will then be lowered safely onto the airbag.
